Tortoise Construction LLC Joins NARI Pacific Northwest

Milwaukie-based remodeling firm earns membership in the regional chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

MILWAUKIE, OR, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Tortoise Construction LLC, a licensed remodeling firm serving Milwaukie, SE Portland, NE Portland, Lake Oswego, and the greater Portland Metro area, has become a member of NARI Pacific Northwest, the regional chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

Tortoise Construction is now listed in the NARI Pacific NW directory under several specialty categories, including Design & Build Remodeler, Kitchen Remodeler, Whole House Remodel, Additions, Basement Remodeler, and Accessory Dwelling Units. Those categories reflect the range of the company’s project work across the Portland area. The NARI membership follows a five-step pre-construction process that the company developed to lock project pricing before construction begins, along with contractor licensing in both Oregon (CCB #214445) and Washington.

Mike Jeske, owner of Tortoise Construction, spent ten years in IT before moving into construction. He said that background shaped how the company approaches remodeling projects.

“Remodeling is one of the biggest investments most homeowners will ever make, and it deserves the same discipline you’d expect from any major financial decision,” Jeske said. “I brought that systems mindset from IT into this business. For us, joining NARI Pacific Northwest means standing alongside other local contractors who hold themselves to that same standard, and it’s a responsibility our clients expect us to take seriously with their homes and their equity.”

NARI Pacific Northwest offers members ongoing education, a shared code of ethics, and a public “Find a Pro” directory that homeowners can use when vetting a contractor. The chapter membership adds to a list of existing credentials for Tortoise Construction, which include membership in the Home Building Association of Greater Portland. The company also holds a 5.0 rating on Angi.

The company said the announcement supports its broader goal of helping homeowners avoid budget overruns and schedule delays during renovation projects through detailed planning before demolition begins.

Homeowners considering a kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, addition, ADU, or whole-home transformation can schedule a complimentary Project Risk Snapshot, a 30-minute consultation that outlines a realistic budget, project-specific risks, and an estimated timeline before any commitment is made.
